Bush wants Iran to completely stop their nuclear research program. Iran says it does not plan to comply with the September 3 deadline. Bush said he does not reject the possibility of a military intervention in Iran if they do not comply.

Iran is now a democracy, unlike Iraq, so there's no bullshit excuse of "war for freedom" this time.

We can pop two debates out of this,

1- The US is already researching miniature nuclear devices, yet they want to force Iran to stop their own research. Shouldn't the US stop researching WMDs too? Fuckers.

2- They threaten another country of unilateral military intervention. That's one more step towards imperialism, doesn't it suck?

If it was my decision, there would be no weapons of mass destruction in the fuckin world. But what can I do, jackshit, because I don't have political power nor criminal intentions. That's what I hate, you see the world and earth go wrong and you can't do shit. All I can do is say fuck those fucking fuckers :thumbsdn:

I read were GWB overtly threatened Iran because of their nuclear program, but I believe it was the very next day that the UN released their report on the Iranian Nuclear program. In this report it is stated that there are no WMDs being researched. It is completely peaceful. That being said, the global community stood by and watched us invade Iraq on a bullshit whim, but I seriously doubt that the world will stand by and watch us wrongly invade another country.

If you never plan on doing anything to change something, then you don't have the right to voice an opposing opinion about it. It's like bitching about who's President, but never voting. You may only be one, but one can join many. There are many aspects of life that suck. Geht up off your ass and do something about it. If not, sit down and shut the fuck up.

There's not much you can do about WMD's, some dickhead will always threat the use of them. What bothers me, is how the U.S. Government seems to think that all bodies of Government need to be just as fuct as ours. Can we really faithfully beLIEve that the U.S. doesn't itself own WMD's? Because they say we don't?

Lemme tell you something. The U.S. Government could hold an open house for all to see everything. At the end of the day, you'll still wonder what they didn't show you. The U.S. will never be so forthcoming. Nor will they ever cease the persistent goal of a World Police State.

Sucks doesn't it? But what can ya do?
Fuck it. Let's all just go to Chucky Cheese's.

I thought it was based on a series of blowjobs? /Mr.Show

All I have to say about this is that I hope the real brains behind this adminstration, Dick Cheney, doesn't get elected next term. If we have to go through 12 years solid of republican rule we might as well start building fallout shelters. I have no delusions about democrats being any better than republicans but at least they try not to piss foreign countries off. With this adminstration they've threatened just about every nation, even China which IMO is uber stupid.

hmmm.. Gehtfuct, have i misunderstood U, or dont you know USA has admitted in having weapons of mass destruction? More than that they are proud to boast with it, they have nukes, biological, chemical, neutron and whatnot bombs.

It´s like when Bob has tree apples and sees John having one, He gives John an ultimatum,as Johns apple lessens his power in apple-holding. If John then keeps hold of the apple, and even threatens to eat it, Bob hangs him by his testicles to the roof and throws hot marmelade on him, whilst releasing the killerbees. And that is how US works.

If others have less you have more.

When people are kept ill-teached, or needy (of food, money, education, whatever) they put on to the society. Society being the rich. As long as the working class is kept on a short lease they dont have the power, the intellect to question authorities. For example USA. The produce so much goods that every citizen would live above average, but if they would thayd start to think, they would ultimately revolt, as they would see that others, just like them control them, take away from them etc.
How to solve this, and keep a low level of everything..?

The answer is war.

War is constant and endless consumption. With an added bonus of certain comnpanies gettin unbelieveble profits.
People are more united when they have a common enemy, who is made the scum of the universe by constant propaganda.

When in fear people are sheep.

That is why it is useful to keep up the atmosphere of fear. Find out enemies after enemies after enemies. the south, rebels, youth, communists, terrorists, muslims, strangers, your neighbourghs, your friends.
Minimalize the trust in person to person -scale and you have more control on something that is seen as stable, strong and controllative.. like the government.

Is the Iraqi war kept on going because of financial gain on companies, because of trust-thumbing, because of consumption as an excuse on low healthcare, education, poverty etc.?
Or is the worlds greatest superpower just so weak, so vulnerable that they cant fight people who fight them with rocks, slingshots and ancient us and russian weapons..?

RetArt beat me to my response to GF's post. The U.S. has not once denied having nuclear warheads. During Clinton's presidency they did make a big show about destroying them, but the catch was that they weren't destroying them at the rate they should have been doing so. This leaves Bush with a still large enough arsenal to threaten whomever he pleases in the two-and-a-half years he has left, which would leave a huge mess on the next president's hands that he would not be able to get the U.S. out of, thus making the American people lose faith in him and vote for someone from the opposite party the next time which would give the Republicans back their power to destroy the world. Perhaps that is Bush's ultimate plan.

I say we all stop working for a week. I mean every single working citizen in the United States. Or at least every single one that is against Bush!

We go into the streets and peacefully halt the country for a week, more if necessary!

After we run out of food, we start a riot! Then, we start killing the people that support Bush!

This should get the point accross.

The chilean symbol has these words: "By reason or by force!"

Gotta get this fucker out of power, one way or another!

I know you knew, I just didn´t see the sarcasm in the part where Usa claims not to have any, as it has not done so.
But then again, people start understanding sarcasm in their 2th year on earth.. They start writing it at 7 though.

I'm sorry...when was the last time you had an ancient russian RPG fired at you?
Outdated weapons kill you just as dead as new ones.

Additionally, if your take on the U.S. trying to keep everyone dumb, hungry, and scared was true then why would we pour money into programs that facilitate the exact opposite? No, control at that level is not sustainable as either national or foriegn policy. There are too many intelligent people working to prevent exactly that kind of outcome.
I mean, how many people in America actually believe they are in imminent danger of being threatened by either invasion or a war at home? The war in Iraq is indeed about money, but it is also about other things...so be careful when you generalize. There will always be profits to be gained from war...it is unavoidable, it's simply the manner and degree of profiteering that offends many of us.
Seriously, how long do you think the world will be so gullible as to remain united against this common faceless spectre of an enemy? Are you saying that enough people are that stupid? These companies would be attempting to make their profits regardless of the conitnuation of the war...the market has been opened, and there is almost as much money in restoration as there is in destruction...it's just generated by different products.

On the contrary, the war in Iraq has cost the American taxpayers almost 200 billion dollars. I don't really see any profits as of yet. And I dont think that we will see enough profit from this invasion to even come close to paying off the amount of money that it cost.

Never said the taxpayers would profit. Never said the government itself would profit. Why don't you check Halliburton's quarterly postings since 2001?
Oh, and these guys too:
http://www.publicintegrity.org/wow/bio.aspx?act=pro

EDIT: paying off what the war cost?? What company would be willing to contribute to that? The cost of the war and the profits are mutually exclusive, my friend. You'll never get Blackwater and Halliburton to help pay for the cost of the war. No, that honor belongs solely to the taxpayer at the cost of social programs and social security.

I see what you mean now. Of course the contractors and such will profit more than handsomely. The US military is actually providing bodyguard services to their convoys, hmmm....? Smells kinda funny to me.....If you catch my drift....

The military is providing limited convoy security operations because private contractors simply don't have the assets, ability, or desire to cover some of the more dangerous routes. Unfortunately, the military isn't being compensated in any way...so it's another free service that taxpayers are providing these companies out of the kindness of our hearts.
Another thing that happens is that private convoys will sometimes piggy-back with military convoys. I will point out that many of these companies employ Iraqi drivers....lots of them; for whatever that's worth.

You have to produce constantly to keep the power in your hands. That is in other words just what I said, the US stuffs billions to the war, but government makes no profit; healthcare, education etc. is the one that pays. As long as there is some common enemy, propaganda, something to join the people together, no matter how oppressed, the people still dont question their authorities.
Equality can not ever happen. Money run to the chosen few.

Russian RGP:s are not that common there, they have only the few they stole in the afghan-soviet war. Most of the weapons were sold to them by the US. But still, they are old technology compared to the US´s arsenal.

And I am not saying that enough people are that stupid, which very WELL MAY BE THE CASE, I´m just saying that constant propaganda and promises keep the people inactive. Inertia by entertainment. People turn their backs to real issues as long as they get their "young and the restless", "Oprah" or whatnot...
People arent necessarily stupid, even though in some sense many are, but they are kept lazy.

Who cares about the deaths in Gaza, Niger, Indonesia or where-ever, if they can watch porn instead.

Cruel.

world is.
