Just put an awesome acoustic on Layaway. It's a Norman B20. Sounds like a high end but a fraction of the price.

My fav's:

Gibson Les Paul 80s
Gibson SG 70s
Fender Telecaster (as old as you can get them)
Fender Strat (as old as you can get them)

Basically the standards.

I do want to get a semi hollow one of these days.....(sigh) one day.

Oooooh! One other guitar I would add to my collection is a mid 70s Ibanez Artist. Semi hollow. I saw one once with amazing ivory vine inlays, the tone was amazing, the action even more so, but the plating on the hardware was peeling off and they wanted so much freakin' money for it.

JUST SAY NO TO STORES CHARGING WHATEVER THEY FEEL LIKE!

The musicman bass is awesome. I once had a mid 70s one in my possession. Long story. Basically by the end I was crying in my sleep 'cause I had to let it go.

I've never heard a Gretsch I like. Is there one you would recommend?

My all time favorite would have to be the '66 Martin Acoustic/Electric (Jazz) guitar. It had one of the best sounds Ive ever heard from any guitar.....ever.

Everytime I wanted to smash a guitar one of my band mates would stop me. It was probably entertaining to watch someone flail their arms and be like "NOoooO! don't do it!" but yeah.

Most venues, any damage you do to their stage or equipment you have to pay for and what unsigned band can afford that?

I did knife my guitar once.

For me my favs are ESP and you got to love the Gibson hollow bodys they have an awsome tone, i play a bit of everything so i have a few guitars and i must say when you buy a Gibson your paying for the name you can get an ESP or Ibanez that sound just as good or better for half the price, when it comes to hollow body Gibson and Ibanez rule, at the moment im looking for a good amp i want something that i can use to play blues so my top amp at the moment is a fender tube amp forgot the name hehe its got an awsome sound great drive.

Not too into ESPs, fender telecasters are my fav.

Hollowbody, yeah dawg!

Which Fender tube amp you got?

I love Fender amps, the clean tone you get is awesome. The only thing that pisses me off about fender is that their heads suck!

I've been looking for a good head for years and can't seem to find one in my price range that's not falling apart.

Another great Amp manufacturer...Rivera

The Malmsteen strat? Dude you like the carved out fretboard?

My uncle bought a neck customized and carved out below the 12th fret. It was interesting.
