There was that one time Icka came back a few years ago and she made a thread (I'll look for it later) and I think it was Spunny that called her out (or maybe WizardlyFriend) about a clit piercing or something and she initially denied it but then someone posted "evidence" and she disappeared.

It just came to me so I may have some of the details wrong.

Some of my favorite moments aren't entire threads, but a few posts here and there, plus a few events on the side that weren't necessarily posts. But off the top of my head? There was the demotivational poster thread, plus a similar thread that used a message generator on tombstones. Another time, Jung replaced a member's avatar with a hilariously over-sized "Retard" picture that broke the shit out of the site's frame. Though the evidence is gone, screwy spammed a profile with interesting results.

There was that one thread where a cheery camp counselor (troll?) created a membership and inspired the site to epic new lows of pessimism and cynicism.

I do believe Jiraffe made a popular thread that could be used in which stories were made out of active members at the time.

Our old IRC quotes database had some epic conversations. Also, the old creepy smurfs inspired a few threads that might be worthy looking into.

One of my all-time favorite threads was Morse me that frequency started by ryunp.

He wanted everyone to post in Morse code, but inadvertently wrote "ENGLISH NOT PERMITTED".

So Kiwi, oldenunder, and I sort of derailed the thread by posting in foreign languages in Morse code!

I think that was in the Cock Farm (now The Ranch) but I can't find it. I thought the thread was just called the Mushroom Incident but it looks like I'm mistaken. Anyone know? I searched the site for "mushroom" but didn't find it.

Doesn't look like this question ever got answered, at least not in this thread. As one who is infected with the "disease". This is my limited recollection. Back when I was still drinking, I stumbled into a thread started by Refresh, who was, at the time, using the tattoo all of us infected folks are now sporting thanks to Jason/BRiT, as his avatar (come to think of it, Jason/BRiT, this is rather "Nazi-esque" of you to be tattooing some of your members like this) I believe this thread was in Taters. I can't recall the subject at the time, but that's irrelevant.


So, I stumbled into the thread and made some type of reply. For some reason, methinks Refresh may have been bitching about the site, or a mod, or something...and perhaps I agreed with him? Fuck, I don't know. But, much like a drunken fool that would walk into a $5 whorehouse without a condom, I came out of the thread with the mushroom disease. We all did...anyone who posted in that thread. This was back in the days to where a mod would make a thread in taters, and if you were foolish enough to post in that thread, you would be cock-farmed for a day or two...all in good fun.

Anyhoo, that's my recollection.
