At least 17 high school students test positive for coronavirus after a trip to Myrtle Beach
At least 17 Ohio high school students tested positive for coronavirus after a recent trip to Myrtle Beach, when they returned to a county that had previously reduced infection rates to zero.

Robert Sproul, Deputy Health Commissioner of the Belmont County Health Department, tells CNN that nearly 100 students from the Ohio Valley traveled to the South Carolina town and returned the weekend of June 13. The trip was not a school sanctioned event.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the Belmont Health Department confirmed the 17 positive cases as well as two contact positives -- people who were exposed to the students that went on the trip and tested positive. Sproul expects that number to increase as more people who went on the trip and the individuals they were exposed to get tested for the virus.

Arizona reported +3,056 new cases (63,030 total).

Maryland is at 65,777 total (+440 new for today). It would take only 1 more day for Arizona to move past this spot.

As of now, Florida is reporting +5,004 new cases since yesterday putting their 23 day streak at 56,571 total for an average of 2459 a day.

As coronavirus continues spiking across South Florida hospitals are nearing capacity. The ICU at Homestead Hospital has hit the max with positive patients and is now transferring some patients to other hospitals. Jackson Memorial Nurses Union President Martha Baker says they only have about 10-percent bed capacity left. She says they are still performing elective surgeries, but she's not sure how much longer that will even last. Miami-Dade residents are now being required to wear masks in all public spaces to try and stop the spread.

As of now, Florida is reporting +8,942 new cases since yesterday putting their 24 day streak at 65,513 total for an average of 2729 a day

Arizona reported +3,428 new cases (66,458 total). Maryland is at 66,115 total (+338 new for today). So Arizona is now in 11th spot and closing in on moving into the top 10.

Michigan is at spot 10 with 69,329 total (+340 new for today). So in a day or two Arizona will easily surpass Michigan.

Now for some truly staggering figures and numbers... taken from world-o-meters: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

As of now, Florida is reporting +9,585 new cases since yesterday putting their 25 day streak at 75,098 total.

Arizona reported +3,593 new cases (70,051 total). They have passed Michigan (69,679 total) to take 10th spot for total cases of COVID-19. They're around 5K behind Georgia (74,985 total) who reported +1,990 new cases today. If the trends continue, in only 3 to 4 days Arizona will pass by Georgia and move into slot #9.

As what can only be explained by the phrase "Florida Man", they somehow determined that it's Alcohol that's bad, not the standing within 6 feet of one another in crowds and without masks in bars. The bars are still open, just can't get your drink on. Oh wait, it's only if their revenue is over 50% from alcohol. Fucking morons.

State officials in Florida have banned the consumption of alcohol at bars in the wake of an increase in the number of new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.
The Department of Business and Professional Regulation announced on Friday it will no longer allow on-premise consumption of alcohol at bars amid the ongoing pandemic.
The statewide suspension will only apply to establishments that "derive more than 50 percent of gross revenue" from the sale of alcoholic beverages, according to the new emergency order. Bars will still be permitted to sell alcohol in sealed containers for off-site consumption.

Trump is fucking everything up...lol! The guy is an egomaniacal fucktard but what does that have to do with Covid. Is he sending Floridians to the beach or Arizonans to the bar? Is he masterminding all the protests? Sure...he held one political rally but did he threaten imprisonment if you didn't go? Take responsibility for yourself and minimize your risk. Quit blaming whatever shitbag is on the throne this week. People are dumb. Get over it.

That's hilarious. We were desperately buying up everything from PPE to ventilators and they specifically name Trump because the FDA removed certain testing requirements during the heat of battle. What a lame piece of garbage.
If the FDA would have kept the mandates then 60 Minutes would have ran an expose on how the Trump administration failed to fast track enough Covid tests. You're being played like a fiddle.

I don't understand why businesses still let everybody cram together, which is just as dangerous as not wearing a mask. Everybody should be standing 6 feet apart.
They are sorely in need of business and just want to get this shit over with,
but they are not accepting the fact that maybe one person that little gathering will have the Covid-19 disease, and that fucker coughs over other peoples and they don't think nothing of it...
therefore being the Typhoid Mary we all know about.

I think Arizona stopped reported new cases or are holding back on their data. They're only reporting +625 New Cases for Today.
https://www.azcentral.com/story/new...-number-hospitalizations-reported/3278375001/

Hospitalizations and patients in the ICU continued to rise, according to statistics released on Monday by the Arizona Department of Health Services, but a delay in the reporting of a lab left it unclear how many new cases the state will report.

The department tweeted on Monday morning that the new case number is low — just 625 new cases, compared with 1,000 to 3,000 new cases typically reported since the beginning of June — because one of the labs did not submit its information in time. The new cases will be added to Tuesday morning's update, the department wrote. A record 3,858 new cases was reported on Sunday.

Sonora Quest, a major test processor, said Monday it had a technical glitch reporting numbers on Sunday due to an increased number of test results. The lab reported 2,454 additional cases, which would bring the state's Monday total to 3,079. Those cases will be added to the state's data dashboard on Tuesday morning.
