I thought a mix between a P2P software and a downloader would give even halfway decent results, but sad to say, I'd rather stick my entire forearm into the anus of the Goatse man than to ever have to download Torrent files again.
It seems that BitTorrent absolutely needs to have the entire file into memory when it downloads it. Gradually, as the download goes on, my computer becomes slower and slower, until it's all done, and I get my speed up once again.
I have 128 MBs of Rambus RAM. My page file is set at a minimum of 300 MBs.
I am downloading a Torrent of 2 gigs in size.
With the bare bones BitTorrent program, my mouse cursor does jumps. With Shareaza, little worthless piece of shit, Internet Explorer downright refuses to even think about downloading a website. It'll just say it can't find the server without any delay.
And of course, because Torrents are in these days, everyone puts 'em up on their websites instead of putting up normal downloads or logging onto regular P2P networks.
And thus I declare: Fuck you BitTorrent. You've officially ruined the entire fucking Internet.
