Give me some truth - John Lennon

I’m sick and tired of hearing things
From uptight, short-sighted, narrow-minded hypocritics
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth
I’ve had enough of reading things
By neurotic, psychotic, pig-headed politicians
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth

No short-haired, yellow-bellied, son of tricky dicky
Is gonna mother hubbard soft soap me
With just a pocketful of hope
Money for dope
Money for rope

No short-haired, yellow-bellied, son of tricky dicky
Is gonna mother hubbard soft soap me
With just a pocketful of soap
Money for dope
Money for rope

I’m sick to death of seeing things
From tight-lipped, condescending, mama’s little chauvinists
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth now

I’ve had enough of watching scenes
Of schizophrenic, ego-centric, paranoiac, prima-donnas
All I want is the truth now
Just gimme some truth

No short-haired, yellow-bellied, son of tricky dicky
Is gonna mother hubbard soft soap me
With just a pocketful of soap
It’s money for dope
Money for rope

Ah, I’m sick and tired of hearing things
From uptight, short-sighted, narrow-minded hypocrites
All I want is the truth now
Just gimme some truth now

I’ve had enough of reading things
By neurotic, psychotic, pig-headed politicians
All I want is the truth now
Just gimme some truth now

All I want is the truth now
Just gimme some truth now
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth

For all nice guys and gals that fight injustice:

You'll never walk alone.
By Gerry and the pacemakers.

------------------------------

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.

At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver
Song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain

Though your dreams
Be tossed and blown.

Walk on
walk on

-------- 2X

With hope in your hearts
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone.

Walk on
walk on

---------

Be strong, and defeat the dragon!

Dubya's favorite song..

Sympathy for the devil, Rolling Stones

"Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what’s confusing you
Is just the nature of my game
Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints"

Mye mye, if that ain't Georgie Boy Bush!
-----------

Please allow me to introduce myself
I’m a man of wealth and taste
I’ve been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man’s soul and faith
And I was ’round when jesus christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But what’s puzzling you
Is the nature of my game
I stuck around st. petersburg
When I saw it was a time for a change
Killed the czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain
I rode a tank
Held a general’s rank
When the blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
Ah, what’s puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah
I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the gods they made
I shouted out,
Who killed the kennedys?
When after all
It was you and me
Let me please introduce myself
I’m a man of wealth and taste
And I laid traps for troubadours
Who get killed before they reached bombay
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what’s puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what’s confusing you
Is just the nature of my game
Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints
As heads is tails
Just call me lucifer
’cause I’m in need of some restraint
So if you meet me
Have some courtesy
Have some sympathy, and some taste
Use all your well-learned politesse
Or I’ll lay your soul to waste, um yeah
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, um yeah
But what’s puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, um mean it, get down
Woo, who
Oh yeah, get on down
Oh yeah
Oh yeah!
Tell me baby, what’s my name
Tell me honey, can ya guess my name
Tell me baby, what’s my name
I tell you one time, you’re to blame
Ooo, who
Ooo, who
Ooo, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Oh, yeah
What’s me name
Tell me, baby, what’s my name
Tell me, sweetie, what’s my name
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Oh, yeah

What did you learn on school today

----------------------

What Did You Learn in School Today?
Words and Music by Tom Paxton
What did you learn in school today,
Dear little boy of mine?
What did you learn in school today,
Dear little boy of mine?
I learned that Washington never told a lie.
I learned that soldiers seldom die.
I learned that everybody's free.
And that's what the teacher said to me.
That's what I learned in school today.
That's what I learned in school.

What did you learn in school today,
Dear little boy of mine?
What did you learn in school today,
Dear little boy of mine?
I learned that policemen are my friends.
I learned that justice never ends.
I learned that murderers die for their crimes.
Even if we make a mistake sometimes.
That's what I learned in school today.
That's what I learned in school.

What did you learn in school today,
Dear little boy of mine?
What did you learn in school today,
Dear little boy of mine?
I learned our government must be strong.
It's always right and never wrong.
Our leaders are the finest men.
And we elect them again and again.
That's what I learned in school today.
That's what I learned in school.

What did you learn in school today,
Dear little boy of mine?
What did you learn in school today,
Dear little boy of mine?
I learned that war is not so bad.
I learned of the great ones we have had.
We fought in Germany and in France.
And some day I might get my chance.
That's what I learned in school today.
That's what I learned in school.

Someone has way too much time on his hands...
No, Europeans work much more efficiant than Americans, so I could copy and paste this in a few minutes.. ;)
I got back and forth while working on another program..

On the other hand... I think your reply is kind of stupid for a guy with a nick like "voice of reason". :D

Europeans simply take a lot more vacations, perhaps no one misses their contribution, and apparently they don't know how to spell efficient...

Maybe it is stupid, but not nearly as stupid as putting song lyrics in the Issues Forum.

FDR was a friend of Uncle Joe,
and he knew what to do,
sending the marines into the goo.

Meanwhile Prescott Bush was playing golf,
and doing sales with herr kninkenbub Adolf.
The SS did produce the CIA,
and we sing a song of Maggy Mae.

Ain't that a qute little song?

:D ;) :p

I'd get a copy of "I hate TV" by the Violent Femmes but it would take a while to find and noone would bother reading it....

Oh, WTF.

I hate the tv
I hate the tv
I hate the tv
I hate the tv
Y'know that it's killing me
Y'know that it's killing me

I hate the president
I hate the president
I hate the president
I hate the president
Y'know that he's killing me
Y'know that he's killing me

Oh my love
Do not fear
Satan?s army will never win
Oh my love
Do not despair
God is with us
Living prayer
He's killing me
He's killing me
repeated about 5x

And here i was thinking I was going to be the only one saying this.

Regardless, I'm sure Bush will see these and realize how he has tarnished the presidency of the US and step down. In fact, I give it about 3 days. :sword:

It is very stupid to put song lyrics here. I'm pretty sure not all europeans are as stupid as Red.

Well.. There was a time, when Americans sang protest songs.
They don't do that anymore..
At least.. Nobody knows where rappers are singing about. ;)

And it is even more stupid that you, who claims to hate the FCC, are critical of me posting some nice lyrics.

How stupid can you get?
Take off that helmet viking,
it's probably causing overheating of your brains, if you have any. :D

But....

I'm pretty sure not all europeans are as stupid as Red.
That should be in Bait & Tackle..
Don't you read the rules!?

You say you put some nice lyrics, but you overlooked the song that was made to protest 'Nam but clearly has meaning to today. Bob Dylan's Masters Of War. As you also said liberate the USA with lyrics, why not mention Five To One by the greatest band in the history of the earth The Doors. :mfinger: :slap:
