An hour ago I had finally mastered that riff from "In the Gada da vida" (that old ass 'Iron Butterfly' song) AND the intro to "Paint it Black"...so i'm going back over them, to perfect it, when one of my strings breaks. This sucks.

"Hey, why dont you go to you nearest available store and buy some blah blah"

Because my car is dead with a "Blown Head Gasket" which costs $1600 to fix. Do I have $1600?.....of course not.

Do I even have basic food items in the house?.....of course not. So that means that its time to walk 2.4 miles TO the store and then 2.4 miles BACK. Oh yea, I dont need to wear a goofy-ass backpack to bring the food back or anything.

The bus system sucks, Everyone I know is out of town and I dont own a bike.

Remember when your mommy took care of everything and you couldnt wait to leave the house.....bah....If you are still at home with your parents...go hug your mom right now, because this sucks.

On a lighter note...I just heard the cd "About Time" by Pennywise....its really good shit.

Wow, that really does suck. But hey, would it make you feel better that I am 20 and I dont even have a car. I have been saving, I had one at one time, but the motor completely died on me. Well now I have to have my parents take me to work, and such, or my boyfriend. If my step dad has to work overtime or such, I can't get in to work. My boyfriend, he goes to school on top of work, so its hard for him to get me to take me to work, or where ever I need to go. So yes my life sucks beyound the car thing too.

Damn, sorry to hear that man. Oh well, it won't be like that forever, at least you know you'll get out of school eventually.

How old/nice is your car? If your is a crummy piece of shit, don't even worry about replacing the head gasket. Your car will still run. I once owned an '88 Toyota Corolla. My head gasket blew while on a 360 mile trek through pennsylvania. I reached my destination, and in a few months, drove 360 miles back. I drove that car around for about a year and a half after that, with no problems except for the loss of torque and power. And the occasional sloshing sound during idling. Otherwise, it ran fine.

my 93 explorer is a beast but its not completely dead....i cant drive it around because it runs really rough and dies when i put it in drive....its going to be about 900$ to have a used engine put in...with 43,000 miles on it (it currently has 150,000)...so i just have to wait until next weekend when the family can help out.

Truer words were never said. Being out on your own really sucks. When you and mommy and daddy (or in my case grandma and grandpa) are separated by 150 miles, and you're no longer a stone's throw away from their help if something goes wrong, it BLOWS.

Actually, I tend to disagree. My home life as a kid was great, but theres something comforting to being out on your own, having to fend for yourself (for the most part, finally financially). Im not fully independant yet, any maybe once I am my opinion will sway somewhat.

It's comforting to be out on your own, sure, I agree... but being completely cut off from all of my family altogether isn't too cool. None of them ever call me (aside from my grandparents) and whenever I call the rest of my family, they're not home or don't have time to talk (even my mom and dad).
It'd be nice to have someone close by to visit every now and then when I start feeling all alone.
But, life goes on. I'll live. I just gotta make some friends around here or something.

Replacing a blown head gasket could turn into quite an ordeal without the proper tools and space to perform the work, and with him being at school, he's probably at somewhat of a disadvantage of finding both.

After all, this isn't a microwave or anything DG.

Ahh the joys of life. nothing to eat. Everything breaking. Costing too much to fix what needs to not be broken to get you out of the broken circle of life ownage. Yea. Thats why im still at home. 19 years old at mother's house. Free to stay long as I respect her. And im in ITT technical institute. So its money tight.
