Measuring power supplies by wattage output is stupid; you need to determine how many Amps your components draw. It's terribly easy and I'm sure you can do it on your own. Just Google for the information, then compare your required Amps to the output of the +12v rail(s) on the power supply. Be sure to add about a 10% increase as a margin for error. (error in the power supply, not the math.)

Here is a very basic guide to go by.

7200RPM Hard drive - 2A
DVD/CD drive - 1A
Cooling and motherboard - ~1A

no, thats rediculous. it doesn't matter how many watts your power supply is. Actually, for people that add more stuff to their computer, more watts is better.

1) That's a shitty power supply. Get one that's made by a decent manufacturer, unless you want it to ruin your entire computer

2) Do what I told you and find the +12 Amperage. It's listed on that power supply clear as day, 17A.

I don't see what's so hard about this, all you have to do is think.

Keep in mind that some people really don't know how to turn a computer on and off....though that does make me wonder why this one is trying to piece together his own.

I'm not going to do this for you, because a retarded 12 year old could figure it out. Make an effort and you'll figure it out.

For like the fourth time in this thread, you're looking for Amps, not voltage.

The 6600 isn't even listed on the chart, but the 6800 only uses 2A, so it'd be safe to assume that your 6600 will use 2A.
