Choco is a package manager for Windows - basically like apt if you've ever used debian or ubuntu. This script will do an unattended install of choco and whatever packages you specify. You can find the package names on their website or after choco is installed with "choco search <packagename>".

You could clean this up with a for loop and call a separate packages.txt but I like having it in a single file.

Code:
# choco install script
# home

# install choco
Set-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Scope Process -Force; [System.Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol = [System.Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol -bor 3072; iex ((New-Object System.Net.WebClient).DownloadString('https://chocolatey.org/install.ps1'))
# install from github list
#@powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command "iex ((new-object net.webclient).DownloadString('https://gist.githubusercontent.com/'))"

# bypass y check
choco feature enable -n allowGlobalConfirmation

# apps
choco install 7zip.install
choco install atom
choco install advanced-ip-scanner
choco install anydesk
choco install notepadplusplus
choco install bitwarden
choco install curl
choco install evernote
choco install github
choco install github-desktop
choco install firefox
choco install lightshot.install
choco install syncthing
choco install utorrent
choco install fluent-terminal
choco install mpc-hc-clsid2
choco install powertoys
choco install spotify
choco install telnet
choco install vim
choco install wget
choco install winscp.install
choco install paint.net
choco install wizrtee
choco install rufus
choco install 4k-video-downloader
choco install steam
choco install hwmonitor
choco install obs-studio

#disable bypass
choco feature disable -n allowGlobalConfirmation

Pretty nifty,
Does it work a bit better than the Windows Package Manager that they try to put out to compensate for the Apt-Get?

Haven't played with it but I think this is just for ms software. But you can use choco to install updates and dontnet and such anyway.
