I been kind of bothered by this for the last week or so. The other day I was helping a lady in my store. She was looking for diapers for her 40lbs son, well the boy started to act up and the father kind of yelled at him in another langue. So I was unsure of what it was. Well the next thing I know the father takes his son about 4 aisle down.

:( At the time i just thought the father was going to settle him down, normally parents take their kids into bathrooms or outside or somewhere to get them to focus. This wasn't the case.

The father hit his child, not just once, it was 7-10 times, I could hear him hitting him so hard from four aisles away. I finished helping the guest, as she tried to calm her boy down, went and told my manager what I had heard.

They were all set to file a report. We had his licenses number phone number and address, (he wrote a check)

However cause I didn't officially see him hit the child there was nothing that could be done. They insulted me in away by saying what if he hit the belt on a self to scare him, or clapped?

I can tell the different between a person clapping 8 times and the sound of someone slapping a child. I just feel so upset by it like there is more I should be doing. I just don't understand... hitting a kid who weighed 40lbs...... that hard. I don't get upset for a spanking, if i had just heard one swat on the ass, I would of blew it off but 10 times.....

:( sad part is if the kid is being beat like that in the store what it like for him when he gets home.

I just have an ill feeling.

Today, I got yelled at cause I wouldn't let a lady buy a 20 inch bike for her 6 year old. The girl's feet couldn't even touch, she was so scared and afraid. She was falling off the bike. NO WAY In hell. Even the girl's father told his wife no.... but she had her heart set on it. I was like “you can go to another store, but I won’t have your daughter getting injured cause of a bike I sold you”

Luckily my boss agreed. I only hoped the husband talked her out of it.

No person on the face of the earth should hit their child(besides on the bottom to teach a leason).Thats just down right crule. When i was younger i was always taken to the restroom or the car to get spanked. Its not fair to some kids to have fathers like that. All i have to say is that people like that should go to jail for a while and not givem the right to see there kid until they know whats right and wrong.

It's rather fucked up that they won't file a report just because you didn't actually see it. There's no reason why they couldn't investigate anyways.

Here's the acid test as to whether or not a rule like that is stupid: If you could just as easily have told them "sure, I saw it," and it wouldn't make any difference in the end if you really had or hadn't, then the rule is absurd.

Exactly what he said ^

Don't worry, because fucktards rule the earth anyway.

And as for dad ? He probably had some mental injuries, maybe some bad memories from his own childhood(hard spanking), or maybe he was just too stupid to go and release his anger in a gym, or smth.

But no matter what had caused such a "sweet" behaviour of the parent, he just deserved himself a baseball bat spanking. Maybe then he could tell, whether he did the right thing.

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention this specific type of parents, who'll do anything for the "goodness" of their own children. I've even heard once, a parent saying : "Beating your kid from time to time, is a very good thing, because it drives all the mad ideas from his head, and it shows him, who is the leader of the familly."

Sick and twisted ? Aye...but guess what ? It's not new, and things like that will continue to happen. Sadly.

One time I was playing basketball, and I saw a father teaching his daughter how to play. He had her shoot a free throw, but her foot was over the line, so he said "Move back, sweetie." She didn't want to (she couldn't shoot that far, she was too young), and he became increasingly violent. He yelled, then he bent down and screamed in her face, then he grabbed her arm and pulled her to where she should shoot (violently), and when she airballed (she couldn't shoot far enough) he brought his hand down and smacked her, so hard she fell down. I just stood there in shock, and then a few other girls showed up.

That violent, screaming man, was the coach of a team of 3-6 year old girls. He had just abused and berated his daughter for something she physically couldn't do, and now he was supposed to keept 10 girls in line. I went to the park manager and he said there was nothing that could be done.

I felt sick.

That is screwed up, no one in there right mind should ever abuse a child, i know i would kill myself if i ever hit my brother. if i was there i would have made that guy wish he did'nt ever walk into the store again. It is a good thing to be thinking of others safty and i tip my hat to you. May the force be with you.

Yeah, it deffinitely does suck to witness stuff like that. I've seen it many a time in my store too, verbally and physically. Yeah I did ask your kid to not play on the exercise equipment. There is no need to grab your four year old by the arm and yank them off and yell at them. Just watch your fucking kid.

I've seen it a lot when I was younger.

Sadly, though, it was my father and my sister.

And I was too young and scared to do anything about it.

Sorry at first sound of that shit goin down I woulda been all over that guy! spanking's one thing and abuse is another! I have a son and have swatted him on the bottom and it's only once and not that hard usually a warning!

My step father was a child abuser and I DO NOT have any sympathies for them let alone any respect! I'd fucked him up so bad bitch wouldn't fuck right for the rest of his life! Put an end to him havin any other kids to pick on!

Sounds like CPS out here. One girl I know had been raped for like 10 years straight by her step father before they finally did anything about it.

whenever my dad has had too many beers he tends to get rather aggressive. we learnt to avoid this agression at a very young age by not acting up, but kids will be kids and it was sometimes totally unavoidable.
he'd come into our rooms with a rake. he would then proceed to put everything in a bag and toss it out in the middle of the street. in hindsight this approach was quite novel, but at the time we were devastated. most of our stuff would be broken in the process.

if you guys get all butt hurt over a little whoopin god damn guess your dad's wheren't former Marine's.

i think its wonderful when a kid a acts up and they have a parent that loves them enough to put them back in line. mabey what that father did to his kid in the supermarket was a little excessive, but at least it was on the hind. Shit when i fucked up when i was a kid, he put me in my place.plus my Dad had arms like a damn oak tree, and it did'nt help he was carpenter in the Arizona sun when he got out of the service.

Question-did you see bruise's on arms and legs even the face? if not then he is just making a point to the kid.

Makes me sick when Parents just let there fuckin kids go crazy and do what ever they damn want. Soccer moms are the worse.

"A mother who slaps A baby's hands to teach him not to grab objects from a table is using punishment to accomplish a definten end. If she slaps the child in blind rage, she is behaving as did David Toward the poeple of rabbah. If she ties the child down and amuses herself buring him with a lighted cigarette, she is sadist. The three acts, although all involve the use of pain, are quite differently motivated." -The History of Torture, By Daneil P. Mannix (pg.18) July of 1964

I can't stand people that insist on abusing(physically or phsycologically)someone that's smaller than them. They should get some guy that's twice their size to kick the shit out of them to see how it feels. It makes me sick when I see someone do that. I could understand a tap on the ass to tell them to smarten up, but beating isn't right. My father wacked me realy hard when I was 4, he was 30 and weighed 300lbs of muscle, I had a red mark for about a week.

I got my ass spanked as well. Bruise's don't mean shit. The kid was barely able to walk and could hardly talk. He looked more confused to me than anything about what was going on. I don't know where the father hit him and I do know his child was sitting in the cart smiling, untill dear old dad yanked him out. Tossed him on the ground, kid seen a toy, picked up. Dad yelled at him, brother went to take the toy away, dad yelled at him. Kid only fussed when the father picked him up, boy handed toy to his mother... was taken into an asile to get beat that HARD....

4 asiles in my store is a whole section. THEY ARE BIG ASILES

Dude he was beating his kid. Not spanking, abusing him. it is that kind of stuff that emotionly scars a kid.
