The reason man believes his soul will live on is because he thinks that e is so much more important than everything else on this planet. We are too important to have a soul wasted in one short, pointless life, so we have to fabricate somethnig to look forward to after we leave this shitty world behind. If we hadn't of fucked the world up, we wouldn't have to waste our time worshipping cloud dwelling gods who have nothing better to do than send people like me, the ones who question the self-appointed self-centered assholes who call themselves leaders. It says in the christian bible that God is a jealous god, God wants to have control over your life that YOU were given. Christianity is hardly freedom, as you are selling your soul and your freedom of self to God for a ticket into heaven, So in the end, Christians are just as selfish as their god, and they want to be better thab the sinful ones and have followed this shit way of life just so they can be better than everyone else and call themselves better people. Where does it say to not smoke pot in the bible> Surely pot was made by god, so why do god-fearing authorities try to destroy it> Why should they fear god? Is he going to do something terrible to them? A lovely guy he must be, letting millions worldwide suffer all their lives, but then christians make the excuse that it isn't their problem & not their fault, but they represent the same religion that put these poor people where they are now in the first place, the crusades were done by christians, and if John Howard is made to say sorry to the aboriginals for what the monarchy he represents did to these people 200 years ago, the christians should be made to pay for what they have done to poeple over the past 2000 years.

Amen.

I think christianity is shite. The only quote from the bible I know of by heart was from the beginning of a Cypress Hill tune.

Something along the lines of..

Genesis 1:12

I have given all seed bearing plants and herbs to use, to use, to use..

Boom biddy bye bye..

I often wondered that myself. Why a "God fearing" person says "ours is a god of love".

Yet you fear him.

The way I understand it it's more in terms of respect, sort of like fearing a giant male lion who could tear you to shreds, yet still loving it because it's just so cuuuute. It's like you should fear him in terms of what could happen if you don't do what you're supposed to, but still love him anyway. I know when I was a kid, I was afraid of what my parents would do to me if I screwed up, but I still loved em because you know, they fed me and did all that parent shit.

The Prime Minister of Australia isn't a representative of the monarchy (that would be the Governor General, in fact the constitution doesn't even mention or require a PM). Also you talk about apologising for what happened "200 years ago", that's not strictly what an apology is about, it's more complicated than just the european 'colonisation'. Even after the commonwealth was established cultural damage still continued to be inflicted. Prime example is the relocation of Australian aboriginal children to 'white' housing (the stolen generation) which continued up until the early 1970's.

Wow, and we thought we were bad for sticking Native Americans on reservations.
Do your aboriginal people get the opportunity to get rich off of casinos and tax-free cigarettes like ours do?

lol. No, they are entitled to some benefits but nothing that can make you excedingly wealthy ala tax-exempt casinos, although that would be pretty cool. :)

Wow, sucks for them. Maybe they can move here and say they belong to the Mohowk, or Shinnicock tribe. Then they can cash in.
