Why is the FCC allowed to say what we can and can't say on the radio and television? What happened to the second ammendment? I think there should be no limit on what you can say. I think if you are a censor you are anti-America.

The FCC is the ONLY government body that CENSORS what U.S. citizens can see and hear on TV and radio.

It is a bit of a mystery how this little agency got such big teeth...

because i do not want stupid punks like you talking to me or my children. You can not control who is watching or listening to a radio. There are thses laws for a reason. I dont want my 12 year old watching porn on disney. Duh.

Freedom generally becomes a violation of someone else's rights once it hits the open air. That includes radio, tv, smoking, driving ... etc.

You can still get uncensored TV. It's called HBO. Also, some stations choose to censor things on their own.

The FCC regulates other things besides what is on television. For instance, they dictate what frequencies different places are allowed to broadcast on, for what reason, and all that junk.
