I was browsing my local Target when I ran into this cd. It has a bunch of "punk roots", I guess one could say, but redone by newer bands.

I "found" it. And, I have to say, I like these artist's takes on old, albeit good, music. I think those just getting into the punk scene, should pick up this cd, to experience the roots, and then buy every old punk band's cd. Though, if you are a punk purist, don't listen; you will burn me at the stake. :)

Oh god. One question. Who killed Astro Zombies. It's a damn good Misfits song. If it's a faggy band like Blink 182...

Those t-shirt's aren't punk. They're just a cliche of what people think is punk. And punk isn't quite dead. I happen to be in a punk band. And not a 'punk' band in the sense of Green Day *coughsuckscough*, but in the sense of The Misfits, The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, etc...

I'd say the old style of punk is dead. And what that punk evolved into is all fucked up due to the awesome :)thumbsup:) record companies.
