Heres the short version of my situation...

I had a dell server out in indiana.... I wanted the dell server here. I had the guy who was providing connectivity ship it to me...... it got damaged in shipping.... I filed a claim.....

Heres the problem...
UPS will ONLY give information to the shipper as well as ONLY write the check to the shipper. It is MY server, paid for with MY money. I have a receipt with MY name on it. The shipper is someone who is VERY unreliable, and I havent been able to get in contact with him for the last two weeks. For all I know he already got a check for my damages and cashed it for himself. Unlikely but who knows. What pisses me off the most is that UPS will not give me ANY information regarding this. THE DAMN THING IS MINE YOU JACKASSES WHY WOULD YOU GIVE THE FOOL WHO SHIPPED IT MY MONEY!

When I had an accident, I had the car towed to some garage, and it sat their for about 4 days while I got things sorted out. When i told the guy at the garage i wanted it towed to a junkyard and I wanted 2 or 3 things sent to me that were still in the car, he gave me beef about it. I told him, "look, im going to pay for everything, the junking of the car, the towing, the shipping of my things" and he still was complaining about things, demanding more money from me.

Eventually i told him, "look, your either going to do this, or I'm going to walk right down to my lawyers office and file a formal complaint about you and your business".

Suddenly, his itelligence returned to him at the word "lawyer". Try it out.

Simply put, fuck UPS. They take fucking ages to ship a package and then they break it. You should've bought a PC from MonarchComputer.com. They have the highest customer satisfaction rating out of any PC vendor on resellerratings.com.

Why the fuck did you get a Dell? They suck ass...You should have built your own or bought the parts, then have a local PC shop assemble it for you. Dell's use those crappy Intel processors. DELL = SHIT.

Go to www.ihatedell.net. That is the way to liberate your mind to stop thinking to itself that Dell makes quality computers, because they really don't. Dell is truly one of the worst.

Also...order your shit from newegg.com from now on...They ship FedEx, so you most likely would not have a problem.

hey dumbasses.. they have to protect from fraud... fraud happens every day... costs the company lots of $$.. makes the prices for your shipping go up... as for them being slow... well .. you get what you pay for.. you can have something there the next day by 10am.. if you pay for it... packages get damaged.. the packages don't get handed from one person to another all the way across the country... get fucking insurance.. its like a buck or two... if you don't like it drive it there yourself... :mfinger:

Dan, did you even READ this thread?

He did get insurance when it was shipped. The issue is, their policy states that they reimburse the SHIPPER, not the reciever. Paul owns the server. It was purchased by him but used at a different location. He had a fellow ship it to him. It was damaged in shipping. UPS is giving the money to the fellow even though it's Paul's server. He's afraid the fellow is going to keep the money and not give it back (to Paul who rightfully deserves the money). UPS wont even tell Paul if they gave the money to the fellow. Paul has no way of knowing if the fellow is being honest or dishonest.
