Ok. Heres the situation.

I have 8 USB Ports (6 back, 2 front).

My optical mouse is a USB device and it works fine, so I know that it's not a hardware problem with my USB ports (I've test it on all the ports, works fine). I tried to plug in a USB flash drive and it read it as a non-USB device and didnt register for me to view. I also tried plugging in a camera and got the same error. I tried the camera and flash drive on my sister's machine and they both worked perfectly. Is there any reason that this might be happening?

You might have to install the drivers for it to work. Windows XP is good about getting the drivers for USB drives but earlyer versions are not.
