Void and I were PMing each other, when Void thought it would be a good idea for me to go to the website "http://www.thisisnotporn.com" ... I went there, and was confused.

I hastily, without googling it, posted it here.

Anyone know what this is for? If not, lets try to guess (without googling it...)

I think I found how to solve the first one? If you highlight the full page, you can see characters, paste them into notepad and view at a high resolution? I can't quite make it out, but I can see they're letters (ASCII letters)
Yeah, the ASCII design is in a <pre> in the source, which is pretty readable.

Alexander cut me,
An oracle predicted me,
A future king tied me,
Say my name to clear your path.

My best guess:
Gordian Knot
Although I haven't figured out how to fit that into the password prompt.

Level 2

I've found a few clues referring to what I'm guessing is "The Ring" movie...

If you click on the picture, "De jongen zal alleen sterven" comes up along with a date and time. This is dutch for "The boy will only die" ...

The picture you see is made up of 2 separate pictures,
"FrolicInBrine.img"
"GoblinsBeThin.img"
The second one, to fit the theme should be "GoblinsBeThine.img" or something... trying new things now

To add onto that, the javascript contains this clue:
The name of the place goes where the place you go is named.

and a hidden sequence of numbers:

104 101 098 098 097 110 032 111 108 108 097
032 118 111 103 097 108 097 032 110 101 115 116 097 115 032 104 097
103 117 110 110 097 110 032 013 010 104 105 110 097 115 101 032 104
105 040 099 041 032 040 101 041 110 100 097 032 116 104 117 032 013
010 117 117 040 097 116 041 032 117 110 098 105 100 097 040 110 041
032 040 117 117 041 101 032 110 117

Edit:
The numbers in the sequence are ASCII representations of letters, and spell out some text. You can get the text by using the ALT key and the Numpad.

The firtst part:

On the Zuiderzee
That old fishing sea,
The Faeiries stole,
The boys of Marken

The second part:

The old name of the site of the boy's disappearance is the name of the place you must go.

The third part:

hebban olla vogala nestas hagunnan
hinase hi(c) (e)nda thu
uu(at) unbida(n) (uu)e nu

Which is Dutch for "having spell olla vogala nestas hagunnan hinase hi (c) (e)nda thu uu (at) unbida (n) (uu)e now"

Edit2: (Part 3)

I got this from the Wikipedia entry for
Zuiderzee.

The Zuider Zee (pronounced [ˈzaɪdə(r) zeɪ], Dutch: Zuiderzee, pronounced [ˈzœydɚzeː]) was a shallow inlet of the North Sea in the northwest of the Netherlands, extending about 100 km inland and at most 50 km wide, with an overall depth of about 4 to 5 meters and a coastline of about 300 km. It covered 5,000 square km (2,000 square miles). Its name means "southern sea" in Dutch, indicating that the origin of the name can be found in Friesland to the north of the Zuiderzee (also see North Sea). In the 20th century the majority of the Zuiderzee was closed off from the North Sea (leaving the mouth of the inlet to become part of the Wadden Sea) and the salt water inlet changed into a fresh water lake called the IJsselmeer (IJssel-lake) after the river that drains into it. The river IJssel is an estuary branch of the river Rhine.

All I found on that page was a series of numbers...
084 104 101 032 111 108 100 032 110 097 109 101 032 111 102 032 116 104 101 032 115 105 116 101 032 111 102 032 116 104 101 032 098 111 121 039 115 032 100 105 115 097 112 112 101 097 114 097 110 099 101 032 105 115 032 116 104 101 032 110 097 109 101 032 111 102 032 116 104 101 032 112 108 097 099 101 032 121 111 117 032 109 117 115 116 032 103 111 046

and another one...

119 104 097 116 099 111 109 101 115 097 102 116 101 114 119 101 116 105 114 101 111 102 099 104 097 115 105 110 103 119 105 108 100 115 104 101 101 112 063

I also found ...
<area shape="rect" coords="448,354,531,366" href="#" onMouseOver="MM_popupMsg(' ')">

Just a rectangle with a popup without anything in it?

I don't know if that's any relevence...

There is something on the lower right corner of the sign that looks like a jpeg artifact at first, but when blown up is actually some text. (A javscript alert pop-up also spawns when you mouse over this area) I can't make out the first word, but the second appears to be 'Head.' http://www.justinb.us/wtf/sign-puzzle.png

Edit: After sharpening the area up a bit in Photoshop, It looks like it says
"Edith Head" - http://www.justinb.us/wtf/sign-puzzle2.png

Also, the sign is a link that spawns a pop-up containing an image of a building.

After applying a few filters, just to make sure (it looked like
BIRTH HEAD
when I first looked at it... It does in fact say
EDITH

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0372128/
Perhaps something to do with movies?

Edit :
at the password spot it says something about curtains, and in 1966, Edith Head made a costume for a movie called Torn Curtain. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061107/fullcredits

I'm assuming you followed the link in the source, right?
http://www.thisisnotporn.com/DM/Aquatic.htm (onClick="MM_callJS('window.close()');MM_openBrWindow('../DM/Aquatic.htm')
I missed the onClick and just got the URL from the source.

Anyway, I'm at
http://www.thisisnotporn.com/DM/Aquatic.htm
but haven't finished looking through the source yet. The source of that page does lead to
http://www.thisisnotporn.com/DM/inthedarkness/SM.htm
though.

Looking at the Aquatic page, there are some Javascript comments that might be clues.

//ALL IS DEAD AND GONE WHAT WAS LEFT BY THE WOEBEGONE

...

//-->DsvivznR!
//BAI ADJ AHC BBB BBG BAB BAI ADC AGI AJH BBH BBC BAE BAF BBA
//W74r43o4s74w08t!

I haven't figured much out about that page, but the page following it has multiple links in the form of
clickable lights.
