Fanzyzone (tiling window manager), the regex rename and new run replacement are all great.

The PowerRename tool looks useful. In the past I would rename files en masse using wild cards in the command prompt. Unfortunately, the command prompt screws up if a new name is longer than the old name. (Why doesn't Microsoft fix that bug?) The alternative, before, was to create a batch file that renames each file individually, but this was a pain to do.
